The funniest site on the internet

Most people will have probably come accross this site already and I have seen Matt Cutts from Google wearing one of their t-shirts on his blog.

However I have to share it with the world as it is just so funny.

Divorce expert predicts rise in 2008

by mkeen61267 @ 2007-11-01 - 14:52:05

A leading expert in the divorce industry is predicting that the falling divorce rates seen over the last 10 years will reverse in 2008.

Some 132,562 couples split in 2006, the lowest since 1984.

Mark Keenan, the founder and legal Director of low cost online divorce service www.divorce-online.co.uk is predicting that the number of couples filing for divorce in 2008 will increase due to the financial pressures being placed on failing marriages following the recent fallout from the Northern Rock debacle and the world wide credit crunch.

With the Council of Mortgage Lenders predicting a 50% increase in home repossessions and many experts predicting a crash in the property market, these financial burdens will simply place too much strain on couples leading to the predicted increase.

Divorce-Online said that 60% of all the petitions prepared for their clients in this period were on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour and that 70% of those petitions included matters relating to financial problems.

Some 132,562 couples split in 2006, the lowest since 1984.

Divorce-Online has seen an 80% increase in the number of divorce packages sold during the second half of 2007 and they attribute this to the worsening situation in the economy and an increase in awareness of low cost divorce services against traditional high street Solicitors.

Divorce-Online is expanding - again

Since the unprecedented amount of publicity in May and June of this year in the national papers about our TV advert, the number of clients we have helped has literally doubled and has stayed that way.

The upshot of this is we have had to hire 2 more staff and move to bigger premises to be able to maintain the high levels of efficiency and professionalism that think we are renowned for.

We have also recently bought out two of our online competitors www.quickedivorce.co.uk and www.absolutedivorce.com. We are going to keep these websites running as seperate brands although we will be merging their services with Divorce-Online in due course.

Quickie-Divorce.com

An update to the ongoing Quickie-Divorce.com saga.

They have redesigned their website at www.quickie-divorce.com and their desperation is showing through.

They are now claiming to the founding members of NAPOD the National Association For providers of Online Divorce? No one has ever heard of this Association and it is quite clearly an illegal attempt to gain credibility. This is highly illegal and as of next year doing this will be a criminal offence subject to a miaximum sentence of 2 years imprisonment.

I urge people to visit the website and see the claims they are making about the number of divorces they are dealing with etc.

I have recently been in touch with an ex member of their staff who resigned because of all their underhand techniques and lies they use on all their websites which proved to me that they had to be brought to book.

I have recently made a formal submission to Bridgend Trading Standards who are going to make a formal investigation of our claims as they believe on the face of it that they are in breach of consumer laws with their marketing.
